Pah!

If you live on the Eastern part of the world, then you probably know Pah! An Israeli App that took Asia by storm. If you still don’t know Pah, try to look for it on YouTube and you’ll discover dozens of homemade videos of people screaming on their smartphones…Pah!  It’s a voice controlled game in which Shouting = Shooting. By shouting ‘Pah!’ you can control a little blip-firing spaceship on the screen. ‘Paaaaahhhh’ moves the spaceship, and ‘Pah!’ fires the shooter.

Here’s a Demo by a viewer in Taiwan:

Think it’s the most ridiculous thing ever? Well, try to tell it to people in Taiwan, China and Singapore, where the game became viral in just few days. There wasn’t even a need to post an official video of the game online as there has been millions of views to videos people posted making fun of themselves. Apparently,  piracy is a good thing cause with no marketing efforts what so ever, the game that was created within less than 48 hours became a wildfire in Asia after it was hacked (people managed to access the game without paying for downloading it).

But no need to worry, despite the fact that Israeli inventors didn’t make more than tens of thousand $ from the game, they still found a way to ride on the back of Pah’s success. They are now mentoring in conferences and seminars in Taiwan, China and Singapore sharing their experience of how to create a viral successful game within less than 48 hrs.

MultiReach was accompanying a very promising Israeli Start- Up Company offering a mobile analytic solution in two relevant conferences: Apps World Europe (29-30 November) held two days of discussion and insight around multi-platform apps, with some of the leading brands and individuals from around the industry gathering to examine the latest industry trends and where they’re leading us.

Shared wisdom and experiences of industry leaders, MultiReach is certain the Israeli Start-Up company would soon make headlines. Stay tuned!

Johannesburg
Our rich experience and deep understanding of Western and Chinese Cultural differences allow us to master in bridging those differences. MultiReach traveled to Johannesburg to accompany a well known Telecom solution provider in their meeting with a huge Chinese Telecom company. The meeting went very well and we are expecting long term cooperation between both sides.

Mobile Advertising – The Next Big Thing

One of the things defined MultiReach since its foundation was focusing on cutting edge tendencies in Biotech and High-tech industries. Based on this, we positioned ourselves as specialists in Medical Devices and Clean-tech fields. Keeping an eye on Investments and cutting edge technologies flow, we continuously look for new tendencies in the High-tech world.

One of our newest fields of interest is Mobile Advertising. Mobile advertising is a rapidly growing and the following examples of huge acquisitions are evidence to the growing interest in this new trend: On November 9, 2009 Google announced an agreement to acquire AdMob, a mobile display ad technology provider, for $750 million. Early January, 2010, Apple also purchased Quattro Wireless, the direct competitor to AdMob. These acquisitions are expected to bring new innovation and competition to mobile advertising, and to lead to more effective tools for creating, serving, and analyzing emerging mobile ads formats.

MultiReach’s interest in Mobile Advertising applications comes from the followings: First, the future role of mobile devices with Internet connectivity will have in our lives. Second, the size of mobile market in Asia particularly in Greater Chine (60% of all mobile phones in the world are in Asia alongside with fascinating temps of 3.5G and WiMax networks deployment in China). Third, remarkable capabilities of Israeli start up companies in this field, a non-surprising fact considering the fact Israel is a telecom superpower for more than two decades.

Mobile advertising technologies and solutions are flourishing in Israel and considering the huge potential Asian markets have, this creates lots of business opportunities for both sides. In this regard, MultiReach is best positioned in order to facilitate this kind of cooperation which will allow investors, institutions and innovators to tap more business opportunities.
